We provide young leaders of the Twin Cities with great opportunities inNon-Profit Leadership. For 18 years, Public Allies has expanded thecapacity of the nation's not-for-profit sector through its AmeriCorps Ally Apprenticeship Program. Public Allies launched a brand-new site in Minnesota last fall with operating partner Pillsbury United Communities. Through this program, we identify "Allies"— diverse, energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious young adults who want to make an impact in communities through performing direct service at organizations. Dance Marathon
“Dance Marathon is a 12 hour dance-a-thon in which participants
raise money and support for children and families affected by
HIV/AIDS and other isolating circumstances. The event will be
held Saturday March 5th 2011, from 10am-10pm in the Radisson
Ballroom. Dance Marathon will feature live music, deejays and
a multitude of entertainers to inspire our dedicated dancers.
Hundreds of enthusiastic college students, alumni and faculty
will be dancing their hearts out for children affected by
HIV/AIDS. Each dancer raises at least $100 and is challenged
to stay on their feet for the entire event!”
